We have used Nordic Builders many times, for years, with projects big and small.   The estimates are accurate, no overage unless we change and add.  The work is done on time and, on budget with no surprises.  They clean up after the job every day, not just at the end of the project. We purchased a condo in the Eastover area of Charlotte last September.  It was in dire need of renovation based on its 2006 as-built condition. We removed certain parts of walls, added a ton of custom trim, added cabinets, replaced all hardware (doors, cabinets and bath accessories), reconfigured closet space, and more — all within the realm of Nordic. I served as my general contractor working with Nordic and other subs. Nordic had been recommended to me by another contractor who could not take on the work.  Yeti, the owner, was just exceptional to work with.  We were doing all work from our principal residence out-of-town. Yeti kept in constant contact regarding every piece of work, and the status of all. We spoke by phone often - including weekends. When changes we’re made, or new work needed as we progressed, he took it all on, got it done on time, and with impeccable craftsmanship.  His finished product looks superb. We really love our new portico that Yeti built for us.   We came to him with a rough sketch of our vision, and pictures of similar porticos.  We wanted it to look like it was original to the house design and not "added on".  He was very meticulous and precise in its construction, and consulted with us throughout the project to ensure our satisfaction.  The final product shows his attention to detail. Yeti used his excellent carpentry skills to repair and correct a botched custom newel post and stair rail installation (from a previous contractor). Gjermund and his team did an awesome job on renovating our stairs and living room fireplace/feature wall. Gjermund worked with us to create a plan, giving great suggestions and input throughout the process. He gave us different options to work within our budget and adapted plans accordingly. The team were always polite, punctual and professional, and the finished renovations exceeded our expectations - Nordic builders clearly have a great work ethic and take pride in completing projects to an excellent, high-quality standard. Nordic Builders did a wonderful job remodeling the Philip L. Van Every Foundation's new office space! The firms project management approach, expert craftsmanship, attention to detail, and responsiveness made the the process enjoyable. We are extremely pleased with our new space! We had Nordic Builders remake our front stoop, add a portico to cover it, and change out our whole front door unit. The experience was great from start to finish. Very straightforward, great communication, and the best thing I can say is they treated the project as if they were working on their own homes. Very detailed and well thought out. I hired Nordic Builders to build out a fireplace wall and install cabinets & floating shelves in my living room. I cannot say enough good things about the experience from the entire team and their owner, Yeti. Yeti was responsive to my emails and calls and made sure to proactively communicate timelines throughout the process. The wall also turned out amazing and was exactly what I wanted. Nordic Builders has done a number of things for us. Installing railings on deck, underpenning around the deck.  They also did a total re do of my laundry room. Very pleased with the work.
